2013 Winner Peter Shepherd

For the second year running the trophy was won by a skipper from Abington Park MYC this year Peter Shepherd is the Sailfootyuk Open League Champion. He took the lead at the Birmingham Open in July with an emphatic win and hasn't relinquished it since, coming 2nd in every event afterwards to a number of different winners.

Peter Jackson finished second after his recent victory in the Bournville Open with the ever present David Wilkinson third over all. All three of these skippers have taken a turn at the top of the leaderboard, however early in the season it was Hugh McAdoo of Guildford who looked on course to win.
The competition points system is set to reward not only a good performance but also attendance as well, resulting in the Trophy going to the best skipper who attends the most events.

There are 45 points on offer for a race win, 44 for 2nd, 43 for 3rd and so on down the fleet these scores are then totaled to give a season result. The adjusted score is the average of the season scores plus 3 points for every event attended.
