The designer Peter J Henderson says
"A professionally made PETG: vacuum formed hull, deck and moulded R/X and controls hatch, has advantages over using epoxy, polyester or wood. Centrifugal cast ballast ready slotted with central re-enforcement, laser cut aluminium rudder and fin are ready for finishing and assembly. Taking care of the main hull construction for an easier perfect and watertight build. Instructions with pictures for every stage have been carefully written to aid the completion of a competitive racing Footy and a set of sails (ready made to order if required) proven in all weather sailing and capable of utilising an inexpensive 2.4gig radio control." |
