A Good days racing with 13 skippers attending Peter Jackson took what turned out to be an easy win and the middle order fleet was close with some tough racing.

The Bassett Lowke Trophy Attracted 11 skippers from far and wide to compete for the magnificent Glass etched trophy depicting a promotional poster used by the Bassett Lowke firm.
Since the introduction of the trophy it has been won only by Abington Park MYC Skippers keen not to let it go outside their home club. For a full report on this years event click here The class of 2016 assembled to compete for the Stella Rock trophy and the title of MYA National Champion, no Rob Vice this year and so everyone felt they had a chance, although there are those amongst us who would have welcomed the chance to go head to head. The fleet was made up of nine skippers from the Midlands and Met & Southern Districts, the competition taking place at Watermead MBC, Aylesbury which currently is the most central venue we can find to give everyone the same opportunity to attend. |
