Despite the warm sunshine, the wind was strong with most skippers opting for a middle of the road rig. The choppy conditions making rig choice somewhat difficult, generally the little footy coped well with these tricky conditions. Once again Graham Tite & his "posh" sails mastering them with some style.
Fresh from their exploits at the Footy Championship the Wicksteed Park skippers Messers Shepherd & Jackson took 2nd & 3rd places respectfully. Peter Shepherd taking a little time to work out how best to sail in the conditions and with Peter Jackson having an event of mixed fortunes, suffering a demasting in race 5.
Equal on points with Peter Jackson was the fast improving Mark Litherland sailing the 1299 hull form. Trevor Thomas returned to the Footy racing scene after an enforced absence and despite being somewhat rusty from lack of sailing was soon back into his usual stride being most challenging for the other skippers to beat.
Sid Simms tried out a Stollery soft sail swing rig on his 1299 for the first time in race conditions, gradually getting it together and showing improved results toward the end of the six races. Thanks to the BMYC for another most enjoyable event, we look forward to the next time we meet.

Here are the results from Tuesday, (congratulations go to Graham & Mark for outstanding performance.. COMMODORE) other than to say a big thank you to Allan Coleman and Clive Hartland for covering OOD and thanks to Bob for covering the galley.    Regards,
Graham Tite.
