South Midlands Footy League
Footy Tuning Clinic

Wednesday 16th May 2012
Starts 1.00pm

The Members of the South Midlands Footy League are to hold a tuning clinic for Footy skippers.
The event will take place around the Footy internet course at

Wicksteed Park Boating Lake.
Entry fee to the Park is £2.00 per vehicle
See map below

All levels of Footy sailors will be welcomed from the absolute beginner to the most experienced and your times around the course will be measured throughout the day to give you an idea of the scope of the improvements you have made.
I expect some form of small competition will evolve during the course of the day as is the norm when two or more Footy skippers gather together.

The FOOTY internet course was conceived by members of the R/C Sailing internet forum who were interested in the development of the Footy Class of radio yacht. The concept was, a universal course that could be constructed and sailed anywhere in the world with the results posted on the internet for international comparison without the expense of travel. The course consists of a windward buoy, anchored in position, physically connected to a leeward buoy which is free to swing directly downwind, thereby ensuring a true windward/leeward course at all times.

For more information go to the Internet course page or
