Entry Form
Abington Park MYC will be hosting a day of Footy racing on Saturday November 4th. The venue is a sailing club Hollowell reservoir,  with clubhouse, and wet launch and racing area

Facilities
Toilet Facilities are in the clubhouse closeby, with tea & coffee making facilities and plenty of space to get your footy set up in the comfort of the indoors.
Event Details
The OOD will be Peter Shepherd.
Registration will be from 8.30 until 9.30am.
The briefing will be at about 9:30am. Racing will start soon after the briefing.
The final race starting at no later than 1.30pm, and any race still running at 1.45pm will be abandoned.
The 2009 Footy class rules will apply with respect to boat construction.
The MYA formal rules for the racing will be the new RRS 2017-2020 modified by the 2017 MYA Standard Sailing Instructions, as applied to radio controlled boats. However, don’t feel intimidated, these rules are basically full size boat rules may be modified on the day to suit the Footy boat and local weather conditions. Local sailing instructions will be announced at the OOD’s briefing before the start of competition.
Ensure that your sail numbers are correctly displayed and that your boat will be capable of passing the box test as defined in the Footy rules in http://footy.rcsailing.net/rules.php. This should include demonstrating that when positioned in the box all sails must be able to swing from side to side.
Acceptance of non-compliance with the rules will be at the discretion of the OOD.
Should the winds be light then we will check the largest sail each competitor has against the Big Rig Sail Template, which has been used in an advisory way.
The entry fee will be £3.00.
Pre-notification of your preferred radio frequency could speed things up at registration. Just send your name, MYA affiliated club, or bring evidence of insurance, sail number and preferred frequency to: -
Peter at peter.shepherd62@gmail.com or enter on line via the web site entry form.
